ChickTech was founded in 2012 to engage women of all ages in the technology industry while working to create a better technology culture for all. We build communities, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in a rapidly growing industry. ChickTech has made a direct impact on tens of thousands of participants, including girls, women, and men.
The Student Engagement Manager is responsible for increasing student engagement primarily through creating and publishing a student newsletter and advising high school program leads based on student feedback.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a positive and fun learning environment for our students and supporting their growth
- Providing a feedback platform for students to determine needs for program changes (currently we use surveys but should possibly explore more options)
- Advising the high school program when changes are necessary
- Leading our newsletter with the goal of keeping high school students engaged with our program
- Curating and generating relevant and interesting content for our audience
- Establishing schedule for newsletter
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated individual who is passionate about our mission
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively, as you will be working closely with marketing manager and high school participant manager

Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
