Title: Governance

This role is a Doing Good Board Member.

Job Description: Oversees the governance of Doing Good.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure universal nonprofit governance recommendations are followed.
    • Primarily reference BoardSource.org.
  • Partners with Executive Director & Board Members.
    • Meets individually with board members.
  • Assist in planning the annual retreat.
  • Provide the Doing Good Board strategic leadership.
  • Ensures excellent transition of Governance documents & responsibilities to the following person in this role.

Important Dates

  • Annual Board Retreat during January
  • Board Meetings every other month
    • The 3 rdMonday of May, July, September, & November
    • 6:00 pm tour, 6:30-8:00 meeting
  • Monthly committee meetings, when applicable
  • Doing Good Holiday Party for VIPs (Volunteers & other Important Partners
    • Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 6:00 pm
