ORGANIZATION: NAMI Glendale

  • 10 people are interested

NAMI Glendale is looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist in distributing literature in Glendale, Burbank, and other surrounding communities.

The volunteer would work with our Outreach Coordinator to drop off NAMI Glendale brochures and pamphlets to various mental health centers, in-patient psychiatric hospitals, psychiatrist, psychologist, and therapist offices, college campus student health centers, and public libraries in order to raise awareness of our affiliate and the services we offer. You would be given a list of specific locations to visit as well as the materials to be left, and you would simply leave them with the appropriate person at each location.

In addition to Glendale and Burbank, you may be asked to drive to locations in Sun Valley, Sunland, Tujunga, Montrose, La CaƱada, North Hollywood, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Atwater Village, Highland Park, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Glassel Park, Silver Lake, and Mount Washington. As such, access to reliable transportation is essential. Days and times are flexible, but drop-offs would need to be done during business hours.
