Why Volunteer?
We have a list of 55 students that are chronically deficit in reading at Arlington Elementary School. The All-Star Readers program gives students one-on-one reading support that will assist in getting them up to their grade level.
All Star Readers is an after school reading program dedicated to helping struggling readers in need and provides one-on-one support to help each student achieve their next level. In order to make a significant impact on these students, we need volunteers to join us and tutor a student in need.
You will be matched one-on-one with a student in need. You can build confidence and a relationship with a child and see them grow and succeed!
There is no prior training required.
All Star Reader volunteers can serve on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays from 3:45PM-4:45PM.

Description
Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.
We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
