Orange County Ride For AIDS (OCRA) is a fully supported one day ride -not a race-through some of Orange County’s most breathtaking scenery. OCRA offers Century (100 miles), Metric Century (62 miles) and Taste of OCRA (30 miles) rides starting in Irvine at Bill Barber Memorial Park. The route travels through the hills and towns of South OC with amazing stretches along the ocean and open spaces.

OCRA is produced by Radiant Health Centers (formerly AIDS Services Foundation Orange County) whose mission is to prevent the spread of HIV and improve the lives of the men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County. The agency was founded in the late summer of 1985 by a small group of volunteers because people were dying, had nowhere to turn, and desperately needed help. Radiant Health Centers is now the largest and most comprehensive nonprofit HIV/AIDS service provider in Orange County.

We are looking for individual and groups of volunteers for our annual OCRA event on Saturday, October 27th to staff several pit stops along the route. Pit Stop volunteer duties include set-up/clean up pit stop, prepare drinks and snacks (provided) for bicyclists, and greet and cheer for passing riders. We have several routes located in South Orange County area: Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and San Juan Capistrano. Shifts vary by location but are typically 4 hours long between 10am-5pm. We are also looking for Pit Lead volunteers who will be the main point of contact between the pit stop and headquarters (located in Irvine). Pit Leads must be at least 18 years old. Other pit stop volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
