CitiKidz has an immediate opening for a Certified Teacher in our after school and summer camp program!

We are in operation on school days (Monday - Friday) from 1:45pm - 6:00pm with 65 1 st-5 th grade students in the Allapattah area in Miami. Our Summer Camp is open from 8am - 6pm for 6 weeks.

Our after school program runs on 2 tracks: Creative/Performing Arts AND Sports!

Our certified teacher will oversee the reading activities of CitiKidz, train current staff on curriculum implementation and differentiated instruction, create weekly plans, and help to foster a love for reading in our students. This is a contract position for 2 hours during each after school day.

Our teachers must act as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. Teachers must have strong leadership skills and classroom management as well as experience working with school age children, able to implement plans, have a passion for a well managed classroom, enjoy teaching, creative, flexible, team player, aware, punctual, organized, able to lead and give directions. Daily activities include: Homework help, snacks, Physical Fitness, Reading, arts & crafts, social skills and other specialized activities.

Requirements:

• Current teaching certification
• reliable personal transportation
• reliable cell phone
• able to pass a Level 2 background screening
• Must be fluent in English - Bi-Lingual a plus, but not required
• Available on all School days preferably between 3:30 - 5:30 (some flexibility available)
• Fun, Energetic, Self-Starter

Hours: This is a contract position for 2 hours during each after school day

Hourly range $20 per hour.

CitiKidz is an after-school program of CitiChurch. CitiChurch exists to change Allapattah by providing direct educational & spiritual opportunities, strengthening families and linking residents together in a supportive neighborhood.

Must be available on all school days.
