ORGANIZATION: Community Health Clinic

The Community Health Clinic (CHC) provides primary medical care for low-income, uninsured families in Northern Collin County. CHC is in need of licensed registered nurses who are willing to volunteer 1 or 2 days a month to provide patient care. Our volunteer RN's provide support for our medical providers and are the first point of care for our patients.

Some of the duties of the volunteer RN at CHC:

• Weigh patients, take their blood pressure and other vital signs, and record patient medical history.
• Provide patient instruction and educational materials as needed.
• Ensure complete and proper documentation of all patient care in patient's medical record.

Currently, volunteer RN's are needed on Wednesday evening 4:30 pm - 8 pm as well as the Thursday and Friday clinics, 8 am - 2 pm. We would like a long term commitment of at least 6 months.
