The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to help a health based non-profit staff their front desk.

Tasks: Answering and transferring all incoming calls, greeting and directing guests of the office, receiving packages and mail, and sometimes other small office tasks such as assembling mailings as need. Front Desk Volunteers should plan to bring something to occupy their time while here (such as a book to read, knitting and sewing materials, sketchbooks, etc.) in case we do not have additional office tasks that day.

Qualifications: Polite and friendly, helpful attitude, tries their best, is willing to be trained. No experience required.

Time: At least one half day shift per week. Volunteers may choose the morning or afternoon shift, depending on what works with their schedule. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Location of work: Central office is right outside of downtown Ann Arbor. Has its own parking lot.
