RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) of Washtenaw County

  • 3 people are interested

This is a great opportunity to provide service to those who struggle with meeting their basic needs, such as food security. Volunteers love knowing that a couple of hours of their time each week can help folks with disabilities meet their nutritional requirements.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is seeking volunteers who are age 55+ to join our organization of folks who care about community service.

We currently need a volunteer to assist with work in a kitchen that serves food at an adult day program located in Ann Arbor. This would include any lunch prep related to delivered meals, portioning and dishing up individual trays and clean-up afterwards. Opportunities are available Monday through Friday from 11 am to 1 or 1:30 pm, depending on how long clean-up takes.

Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include:
-Liability insurance that protects you in case of injury while you serve
-Volunteer recognition events throughout the year (big annual recognition event with raffles, giveaways, and awards. Other smaller events throughout the year.)
-Rewards for referring new volunteers to your station
-Quarterly Newsletter
