ORGANIZATION: Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound

"Help me be GREAT!!!"

The Boys & Girls Club Lakewood Branch is seeking a volunteer who is passionate about art to teach basic art lessons to teens. BGC art programs are designed to foster creativity in young people, and give them outlets for self-expression. The goal would be for the teens to submit art projects to the national Boys & Girls Clubs of America art contest. Art lessons could be in a wide variety of different areas. Experience in one of these areas would be fantastic!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of art.
  • Patience working with teens.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age with HS Diploma/GED/Equivalent
  • Able to pass a background check and national sex offender registry check

Time Commitment:

  • 30 minute Volunteer Orientation (one-time)
  • 30 minute online training (one-time)
  • 1 hour, 2 days per week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday; between the times of 3:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Minimum 6 week commitment
