TITLE: Events Intern

SCHEDULE: 5 - 10 hours a week, Monday - Friday. Flexible schedule with some evenings / weekends required for scheduled events.

LOCATION: 141 W. Third St. Dayton Oh 45402

DESCRIPTION:
YWCA Dayton, dedicated to the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism, seeks a highly motivated intern with an interest and passion in event planning. The Events Intern will assist our staff in planning and executing events, and will report directly to the Development Director. Internship position is not compensated, but may be eligible for college credits.

DUTIES:
Work with Development Director to coordinate event logistics

Contact donors/sponsors/vendors as needed to make reservations & confirm information

Physically receive, catalog and organize event supplies and donated items

Assist with day-of event execution, including set up and tear down and guest services

Other duties as assigned

SKILL SET:

Must be extremely organized and detail oriented

Must be able to define and work to deadlines

Strong written and verbal skills

Ability to interact with others both individually and as a team in order to cultivate support for the agency mission

Ability to work independently and with agility to meet organizational needs

REQUIREMENTS:
18+ with some college experience.
