Every Tuesday afternoon and Saturday morning, year-round, the volunteer-staffed Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful Recycle Center needs about 6 people per shift to recieve clean recyclables from vehicles and sort into paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, glass bottles, clothing, metals and electronics.
Accepted items listed at www.knib.org.
Tuesday shifts: 1:30-3:30 and/or 3:15-5:15 p.m.
Saturday shifts: 8:30-10:30 a.m. and/or 10:15-12:15 p.m.
Double shifts as available (3.5 hours)
All ages 14-up.
Activities are primarily outdoors in any weather; close-toed shoes strongly recommended.

Description
Founded in 1988, Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful is a regional affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, serving the residents of northern Illinois through litter abatement, increasing local recycling opportunities, reducing landfill use and protecting billions of gallons of groundwater from contamination.
Volunteers sustain and enhance all Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful programs.
