ORGANIZATION: The National Science Institute

Volunteer will work in the administrative department writing grant applications. These will be primarily foundational support, but may also be corporate grants. They will be focused on online applications, from grants that have been identified from the team of grant researchers. Training is done on the job, prior experience is not required although certainly welcome. This can also be an internship.

Required Skills

  • Critical thinking and reading skills
  • Comprehensive ability to process and follow instructions and guidelines
  • Writing skills that can be technical, passionate, and sometimes both
  • Ability to work within a word limit (or minimum)
  • Ability to work with deadlines and prioritize your time wisely

Training

Training happens during your shifts. You will receive feedback as you go. Because of learning curve and the follow up required, a minimum commitment of three months is required.


Schedule

Scheduling is flexible. Available times are Monday-Friday 9:30am-9pm. Shifts are a minimum of two hours. We prefer somebody who can do at least four shifts per month.


Age Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
