ORGANIZATION: Riverside County- RSVP Program

Jewish Family Service hosts a social activity program for isolated and/or homebound seniors at various locations throughout the Coachella Valley called Let’s Do Lunch! (7 current sites). Participants enjoy an afternoon "out" engaging in games, art creation, workshops, exercise, live entertainment and more. Sessions are held twice a month at most sites.

JFS is offering a fun engaging and rewarding opportunity for volunteers to join the Let’s Do Lunch! Program as Site Leader.

If you are energetic, compassionate, a strong communicator and enjoy leading groups, this volunteer position is for you! Site Leader responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming all participants to the program session upon arrival
  • Assisting with the serving of lunches
  • Duties may include pick-up of lunch box orders & beverages from the JFS office
  • Set-up of audio visual equipment if required for sessions program (training provided)
  • Leading games (training provided)
  • Inspire attendee participation
  • Welcome and introduce partner presenters at given sessions
  • Assist partner presenters as needed
  • Engage in participant attendance outreach calls
