We are looking for a skilled photographer who loves children with special needs and has a passion for service. We would like to capture photos of our Heber Half Run For Autism.

It is a half marathon raising money for children with autism, held in beautiful Heber. If you are willing to donate your work for a good cause, this will help us document our event and be able to share these photos in future advertising and on social media.

Our event is held Saturday, June 29, 2019 in Heber City. Race begins at 6am. We anticipate needing photos of the following:

- runners on the course

- finish line games and activities (we already have a hired photographer taking the official finish photos)

- volunteers in action

- generally capturing the look/feel of the event

Please send your portfolio to Sydnee Ochoa at volunteer@kotm.org.

Mission Statement

Supporting the development of young children and families

Description

At Kids On The Move, our mission is simple: to support the healthy development of young children and families in Utah.

We empower families, one kid at a time, to lead more successful lives and to be less dependent on government assistance through five major service programs:
Early Head Start, Early Intervention, Respite Care, Child and Family Mental Health, and our Autism Center.

Early Head Start focuses on low-income families facing challenges, such as teen or single parents. They also learn how to make nutritious meals and how to set and achieve goals for family self sufficiency.

Early Intervention enhances development and reduces the impact of disabilities and developmental delays for infants and toddlers. We provide services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy, family training, nursing and social work.

Respite Care is the temporary care of children with special needs, providing a short period of rest or relief to their usual caregivers. We provide Respite Care to families of children with special needs to give them a 3.5 hour break on weekend nights so that caregivers can relieve stress, renew energy, and restore balance.

Child and Family Mental Health offers a wide range of mental health services important to all family members.

We’ve expanded our Autism Center to prepare kids older than three with social skills and learning experiences needed to successfully enter the school system. We provide families with the quality services they need, not just the services they can afford.
