The Albany Public Library's Washington Avenue branch is looking for a self-starting, passionate volunteer who 1) enjoys working with and teaching children and 2) has a strong working knowledge of coding. If that sounds like you then we have a position for you! The branch is hoping to start a program to teach children coding through the game Roblox, and we need an energetic volunteer to help get the ball rolling! Come teach valuable STEM skills and make a difference in the community, all while having a great time!

The Albany Public Library consists of 7 branches in the City School District; Washington, North Albany, Bach, Arbor Hill, Pine Hills, Howe, and Delaware. You can visit the 7 branches for books and DVDs, music and magazines, classes and workshops, computers and Wi-Fi, tutoring and tax assistance, arts activities and technology programs, study spaces and meeting rooms, movie showings and musical performances, book clubs and author talks, and so much more. Volunteering is vital to the health of the library and the community by providing much needed support to the youth and adults who rely on library services. Volunteers gain the skills and knowledge to help with their professional career and personal life. Student volunteers gain community service credit and valuable job experience.
