The Albany Public Library is hosting Girls Who Code again this year, and we're looking for a volunteer to help lead the programming course! The course is held on Wednesday nights from 6pm-7:30pm. This year the program is tailored towards tweens, so kids ages 8-11. This means that the volunteer does not need to know a programming language, but any comfort with STEM is helpful. The lesson plans will be provided by us. The volunteer just needs to bring a passion for teaching and enthusiasm! Their primary role will be to help the program run smoothly. This is an awesome event that works to get young women interested in the STEM field. Come help make a difference in your community!
This would be an amazing opportunity for a college student or young professional in the STEM field, especially a young woman looking to inspire the younger generation. Come be the change.
