Archway Housing & Services is a non-profit that builds and manages affordable housing communities for low-income families and individuals. We also provide free, on-site social services to our residents, including adult educational classes, food banks, and youth enrichment programs.

We are currently looking for a Youth Tutor/Mentor to help out after school at our community in Aurora, off of Colfax and Yosemite. This would be once a week for 1-2 hours. Our afterschool program is open Mondays - Fridays 3:30 - 5:30 pm. The kids do their homework from 3:30 - 4:30 and do a group enrichment activity from 4:30 - 5:30 which includes arts/crafts, science experiments, and physical fitness games. The Youth Tutor/Mentor could help out the elementary students with their homework then assist the staff person with the enrichment activity.

Please consider donating your time and talent to help low-income youth succeed in life! They need all the love and support we can offer! Thank you for your consideration.

Mission Statement

Archway Communities elevates lives by providing access to affordable housing, food security and the supportive social services people need to thrive.

Description

Archway Communities was founded with the belief that affordable housing is a crucial element in building healthy communities. In pursuit of that belief, we seek opportunities to purchase vacant land for new construction or renovate obsolete multifamily developments. Shortly after we were founded, we began to recognize that residents need more than affordable housing to stabilize their lives - many were struggling with challenges like food insecurity, recovering from chronic homelessness, unemployment, single parenting, obtaining citizenship, and others. Archway Communities instituted the Supportive Services Program- resident focused, on-site programming- to address the needs of those living in our communities beyond simply providing a roof over their heads.
