**Groups Only**

Utah Food Bank’s Mobile School Pantry program helps families in need by distributing food after school to the families of kids who may be at risk of food insecurity. Generous donations from the community have recently made it possible to expand the number of MSP sites we serve, and now we need more volunteers to help distribute the food at each location.

We have a list of distribution sites still in need of volunteers as well as the dates/times of distribution for each site. We prefer to have volunteers in groups between 8 and 12 people, though groups as few as 5 volunteers will also be acceptable. At this time we can only accept groups that are able to commit to help out at a specified location for ALL of the distribution dates during the school year.

This is a great opportunity to see the immediate impact of your efforts on the individuals you’re helping. Past volunteers have enjoyed the experience so much that they’ve committed again to volunteer for another school year!

Mission Statement

Fighting Hunger Statewide

Description

For over 110 years, Utah Food Bank has stayed true to our objective of serving those in need throughout our state. We work tirelessly with community partners and volunteers to continue making an impact and fulfilling our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide.

Last year, Utah Food Bank distributed 32.7 million meals via a statewide network of 149 partner agencies located in all 29 counties. In addition to being one of only a handful of food banks that distributes food free-of-charge to partner agencies, we also offer several direct service programs to help the most vulnerable populations in our state - children and seniors. By combining these direct service programs with our emergency food assistance services, we can truly impact the lives of Utahns who live in a world of food insecurity.

As Utah’s only member of Feeding America’s nationwide network of more than 200 food banks, we are proud to be a part of the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization
