About Artvango Therapeutic Services, Inc.

Location:

3201 Cherry Ridge St., Suite C 318, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78230, US

Mission Statement

Artvango Therapeutic Services, Inc. is committed to uplifting and healing children in the foster care system that are affected by the cycle of abuse, neglect and poverty. Artvango is founded on the principles of helping foster children and their families heal through the use of different forms of expressive therapies in a safe therapeutic environment to strengthen personal awareness, create a positive change in behavior while healing their hearts and improving the quality of their lives.

Description

Artvango focuses on providing different forms of expressive forms of therapy tailored to the clients needs that is age appropriate and child-centered in order to improve, strengthen, and transform the lives of foster and adoptive children and their families. Artvango also assists parents by providing them information on how trauma affects the brain and affective therapeutic tools to use with their children in order help with unwanted challenges that affect the entire family system. Foster families participate in an ongoing interactive support group, lead by a trauma based expert and adoptive parent. Providing services to both the children and their families improve their knowledge of how trauma affects the brain, improve family communication, promote nurturing, and develop appropriate strategies for coping with life’s struggles.

To date, 80% of the children we have served have gone on to be adopted by their foster families. Parents are grateful to have therapists and trauma informed specialists that help with their daily life challenges, assist them in making positive parenting changes in order to help their child succeed in school and in life. Parents also report that learning how trauma affects the brain has helped them parent their child differently in a way that is effective.
