Driver Coordinator

Oversees all drivers/warehouse operations including the loading and unloading of the trucks and vans.

• Coordinates deliveries with drivers and collaborative partners
• Maintain the drivers schedule (vacations, out sick, emergency situations, etc.)
• Implements efficient and effective storing of items, pallets, containers, etc. in warehouse, storage units and sheds
• Responsible for production scheduling and pick ‐ ups
• Determine space utilization and maintains Warehouse in a safe and orderly manner
• Covers for warehouse and driver helper positions in the absence of the regular volunteer
• Maintains all Fallbrook Food Pantry DOT, OSHA, CARF, Federal and State required documentation
• Assesses and monitors equipment needs and informs Maintenance Manager of all details
• Communicates and provides customer service to the public

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays (approximately 10 hours/week)
• Ability to supervise several employees
• Must possess good public relation skills
• Provide a copy of ten year Motor Vehicle Report history showing a safe driving record
• Ability to operate a forklift

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the intern/volunteer must possess the ability to sort, pack, and process donated food items into appropriate containers
• Intern/volunteer must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and carry it 50 feet
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
