We need volunteers to:
1. Help participants register and take the national public safety survey using supplied tablets.
2. Help assist the moderator during the Q&A session with the panel by walking around with a microphone to participants who have questions.
3. Provide other assistance as needed, e.g., handing out materials, directing participants to their seats, etc.

Deputy Director Jon Davis
Polk County Iowa Emergency Management Office
Jon joined the Polk County Emergency Management Agency November 23, 2009. Jon has an extensive background in emergency services including emergency management, search and rescue, law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services and emergency communications.
As part of his extensive background in communications, Jon is a General Class Amateur Radio Operator and is a member of the Polk County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES).
Jon remains active in emergency response as a member of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Program with responses to Hurricane Katrina, Dean, Dolly, Gustav and Ike. He is also a member of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Program Incident Support Team and in that capacity responded to Boulder County, Colorado for flooding. In addition to field work, he also enjoys training emergency responders nationwide.
