The Cat Network has been rescuing & adopting cats & kittens in the St. Louis area since 1991. Until recently, we have been mostly in the West, Mid and South County areas. We have expanded -- and have started having 2 adoption events a month at the Bentley's Pet Place in Cottleville/St.Peters/St. Charles area! (Saturdays - times may be flexible.)
Currently, our adoption events are small and only have 3-4 cats/kittens at an event and traffic is light, but we could use some help! We would love to have someone (or 2 someones to alternate) come and help with the event.
Duties would include:
- Setting up & taking down the table & cages
- Helping our adoption manager field any "cat" questions (and you don't need to be an expert!)
- Helping keep an eye on the cats (especially should the store get busy)
- Giving the cats attention & love!

Mission Statement
The Cat Network is an all volunteer, no-kill, cat rescue organization in the greater St. Louis area. We are a non-profit, 501-c-3 organization. We do not have a shelter, so we care for our foster cats in our homes. We are currently caring for over 100 permanent foster cats. We accept (rescue) cats or kittens who we can hopefully re-home. Generally we prefer to rescue cats/kittens from local animal control shelters, but will occasionally accept owner turn-ins.
Description
After rescue, our cats/kittens are quarantined for at least 14 days to assure that they are disease free. This also gives us time to provide the necessary vet care. All newly rescued cats/kittens are taken to one of our affiliated vet offices for a complete check-up. They will be given age-appropriate vaccinations, a microchip, and will be combo tested for feline leukemia/feline aids. If old enough, the cat/kitten will be altered. Our cats/kittens are also treated for intestinal and external parasites.
All of our cats/kittens live in caring foster homes. Our 'adoptable' foster cats/kittens participate in regularly scheduled adoption events at local PetSmart and Petco stores.
