WesleyLife Hospice Volunteer
1 person is interested
WesleyLife Hospice volunteers are invaluable to our team! Whether you want to work directly with patients and their families or prefer to work behind the scenes we have opportunities for you. Our opportunities do vary depending on the needs of our patients and their families.
All volunteers are required to complete an application and a background check.
A few of our top needs right now include:
1 - Companion Volunteers: Spend time one-on-one with a patient. This can be as simple as holding their hand, visiting, playing a game, or helping them get outside to enjoy some fresh air.
2 - Quilters and Crochet Volunteers: Help us by making twin size quilts and lap blankets for all of our hospice patients. We would also like some to be made with patriotic colors for our veterans.
3 - Veteran Volunteers: Our goal is to be able to pair every patient who is a Veteran with a fellow Veteran. That bond is sometime no one else can understand.
All training will be provided. If you are working directly with patients a TB test will be required and provided at no cost.
If you are interested in volunteering contact Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah Underwood, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 515.271.6765. You can also fill out an application: Click here to sign up!
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Guided by Christian compassion, we support the independence, health and well-being of older adults wherever they call home.
WesleyLife began in 1946 and has grown into a comprehensive health and wellness network that promotes the independence, health and well-being of older Iowans, wherever they call home. WesleyLife's network includes home-based solutions, including home health, hospice, personal services, transportation and home-delivered meals. WesleyLife also operates seven Communities for Healthy Living with plans to open our eighth community in 2018.
We'll work with your schedule.
