Benefits Assistant: Join our Benefits Team and work with our social workers to assist seniors and people with disabilities obtain a variety of benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid, Benefits Access Program and other entitlement programs as well. For example, Benefits Access provides low- income seniors or people with disabilities with a Free Ride Transit Cards for all public transportation and with a license plate sticker discount. Volunteers are needed to help North Shore Senior Center staff by interviewing clients, completing program applications and making follow-up phone calls.
Because of the COVID outbreak, we are interviewing volunteer candidates for our volunteer roles by phone or on-line only. Please contact cpadovani@nssc.org and we will get the volunteer enrollment process started so that you will be ready to begin your new role with the North Shore Senior Center once our doors re-open.

We can match your talents, experience, and schedule to a volunteer role that brings you - and those you help - great satisfaction. We offer regular and flexible volunteer opportunities in our Northfield and Niles locations and out in the communities we serve.
