North Shore Senior Center
Benefits Assistant: Join our Benefits Team and work with our social workers to assist seniors and people with disabilities obtain a variety of benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid, Benefits Access Program and other entitlement programs as well. For example, Benefits Access provides low- income seniors or people with disabilities with a Free Ride Transit Cards for all public transportation and with a license plate sticker discount. Volunteers are needed to help North Shore Senior Center staff by interviewing clients, completing program applications and making follow-up phone calls.
Because of the COVID outbreak, we are interviewing volunteer candidates for our volunteer roles by phone or on-line only. Please contact email@example.com and we will get the volunteer enrollment process started so that you will be ready to begin your new role with the North Shore Senior Center once our doors re-open.

The Mission of the North Shore Senior Center is to support the independence and well-being of older adults, enhance their dignity and self respect, and promote their participation in all aspects of community life.
Many opportunities for volunteer service are available for people of all ages. We have more than 800 active volunteers. Opportunities range from helping in the gift shop, library, offices, and cafe to teaching computer classes, transporting seniors to medical and dental appointments, preparing income tax returns, and providing companionship and emotional support to seniors who are homebound.
