California Safe Corps - CSC is the oldest of the Red Cross AmeriCorps programs and focuses on preparing communities for disasters by providing low-cost CPR and First Aid training to vulnerable communities, disaster response, and supporting the Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services.
CA AmeriCorps Disaster Team - CADT is the Red Cross’s newest AmeriCorps program, created in partnership through CaliforniaVolunteers, to support community readiness and disaster response. The Disaster Team has the unique opportunity to work on all sides of the recovery process, by supporting both Red Cross and government run (FEMA, Cal OES, etc.) response and recovery efforts. Members also help build the Red Cross’s ability to support the community through volunteer recruitment, trainings, and engagement.
