Light The Night

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s "Light the Night" Walk Volunteer Registration is now open!

At "Light the Night", it is our aim to bring light to the darkness of cancer through research and cures. Light The Night is a series of fundraising campaigns benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) funding of research to find blood cancer cures. We bring hope instead of despair by working to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients. We bring communities together to celebrate those who are fighting the disease and to honor those we have lost.

We are taking steps to end cancer. WE LIGHT THE NIGHT.

However, we need your help to make sure this event runs perfectly! Below, you will see a variety of shifts that you can potentially fit into your schedule for "Light the Night - OKC" on Friday, November 1st at the OKC Riversport District!

The following shifts are available for you to sign up for! :

1:00 pm-4:00 pm: Set Up Shift

4:00-8:00 pm: "Light the Night Walk" Shift - Registration/Opening

5:30-9:30 pm: "Light the Night Walk" Shift 2 - Walk Coordination/Close-Out/Clean-Up

Mission Statement

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

Description

Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer.

In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Oklahoma Chapter serves residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
