LONA is a nonprofit based in San Francisco, CA. LONA invests in women's ability to provide for themselves by connecting them to education, resources and job opportunities. We strive to create a world where every woman and girl is empowered to transform her own life, whether that be through education, skills-training or job opportunities. We host ongoing events, run by one of our co-founders, Amanda.

Amanda has a background in pattern-making and sewing, and she hosts sewings classes about once a month to raise money for LONA.

Amanda is seeking a volunteer to assist with these classes. Each class is 2 hours long. With set up and clean up, the total time runs about 3 hours. Duties will include:
1) Set up and clean up of sewing machines and supplies
2) Set up and clean up of beverages and snacks for class
3) Help to manage class participants as they learn basic sewing skills

**Sewing skills are an added bonus, but not required.**

**This does not have to be a longterm commitment & if you are only able to volunteer a few times, we still appreciate your help! Ideally we will have a few volunteers that can rotate in and out. However, LONA is seeking steady volunteers for the future, and board members as well if this interests you.**
