Trail Ride
Riders & volunteers head out for a trail ride in the gorgeous weather.

Do you love horses? Love children and being active? Pride Stables offers a unique volunteer opportunity!

No horse experience is necessary! Training provided.
Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.

We need volunteers for our seasonal sessions of riding to lead horses or side-walk for riders with special needs. As a leader, you will need the ability to understand and carry out direct instructions. As a side-walker, you will need to comprehend instructions and be able to pass them on to the rider and will also need to physically assist/support the rider if needed. Both positions require physical endurance, good verbal skills and excellent comprehension.

We ask our volunteers to commit to at least one class per week for a full session of four weeks in July and/or four weeks in August.

Summer classes run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. They are 45 minutes in length, however, volunteers are required to arrive 30 minutes early to groom and tack-up their horse, as well as to untack after class.

Orientation Training
New volunteers are asked to attend one 2-hour orientation training session. Pre-registration required.
