Wilshire Community Services is offering a two-day comprehensive workshop training on processes and issues that impact healthy aging. The training brings together experts in the field of aging to create a rich learning experience on issues related to late life and peer experiences. Participants will be able to more completely understand their own aging experience and learn how to skillfully assist Older Adults in various settings.
This workshop is geared towards individuals who would like to understand the complexities of aging and completes the first 16 hours of the Senior Peer Counseling training to become a Senior Peer Counselor (must be 55+). Peer Counselors offer skilled listening & guidance to help Older Adults navigate transitions that accompany aging.
