Are you looking for a fulfilling way to improve the lives of others? Compassus Hospice is seeking volunteers in Arenac, Bay, Clare, Genesee, Gladwin, Genesee, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta, Midland & Saginaw Counties. Volunteers are needed for patient & family support in their homes & in facilities. Patient support volunteers provide companionship to the patient & sometimes a break for the caregiver. Ways to help include: friendly visits, providing a supportive presence through active listening, writing letters, reading to patients, light housekeeping, running errands, meal preparation, hair care, sharing a game or a hobby, etc. Each volunteer defines the task that is appropriate for them & at their comfort level. Volunteer visit times are varied and flexible based on volunteer availability.
