Come volunteer with the Girl Scouts at HACA after school Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 and/or 5:30-6:30 PM in South Austin! Girl Scouts of Central Texas has a partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) to provide Girl Scouting to the socioeconomically disadvantaged girls that live in housing authority sites. Volunteer with the Girl Scouts at HACA during weekly troop meetings. Assist during troop meetings with set up, troop activities, giving the girls more one-on-one attention, cookie sales, and occasional field trips. Girls range in age from about kindergarten to about 8 th grade and are a lot of fun! There will be a GSCTX Staff Member present, acting as Troop Leader during each meeting; this volunteer position is an assistant/helper role.
