We have a lovely couple in Flushing (plenty of parking on the block ) that could use some help. They both speak perfect English but the wife would love to converse in her native Russian language. She would also love to take a walk but does not want to walk alone. Unfortunately her husband cannot walk far.

Services Now for Adult Persons, Inc. has accepted the challenge of being dedicated to the needs of older adults. SNAP provides direct services to enhance their quality of life. We also provide coordination of case plans, advocacy and linkages to community resources to assist our clients and to prevent premature institutionalization
Description
Services Now for Adult Persons Volunteer program is two-fold.
1. We help active senior citizens find volunteer opportunities in the community.
2. We recruit any age volunteers to assist homebound and more frail senior citizens in their every day needs. From just having tea and chatting to shoveling snow, all volunteers are so welcome and so appreciated.
