Do you leave helping those less fortunate in your community? Do you love to cook or serve?
The Salvation Army is currently seeking volunteers to help with their lunch time soup kitchen. Volunteers or needed for either Mondays or Fridays to prep and serve a hot meal. Must have a safe serve certificate from the health department. Set up at 9:30 AM, serve from 11-1 PM, clean up 1-2 Pm.

Description

The Salvation Army located in Richmond KY provides many services to help those in need here in Madison county and 4 other surrounding areas. In our Social Service office, we provide emergency food and clothing for those in need as well as utility assistance. We also have a soup kitchen that runs on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-1. Our mobile canteen (mobile kitchen) goes out every Saturday to our most needed neighborhoods to serve soup and sandwiches.

We also have an emergency shelter that provides a safe place to stay for those in need.

Children programs are offered throughout the week for at risk youth in our community and we are always seeking good role models for these programs.

Without the generous support of volunteers, it would not be possible to provide all of the programs and services that The Salvation Army offers.
