The PCOS Challenge 5K Run/Walk at Harbor Park at Lake Baldwin, presented by PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association, is the second major event during PCOS Awareness Weekend 2018 - Orlando. It follows the 6th Annual PCOS Awareness Symposium the previous day being held at the Orlando Museum of Art.
The PCOS Challenge 5K Run/Walk events are the largest in the country dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help fight polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
PCOS affects 10-15% of women in the U.S. and hundreds of millions globally. It is one of the most critical, under-diagnosed, underfunded and neglected areas of health, which can lead to lifelong complications, infertility, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. By supporting the PCOS Challenge 5K Run Walk, you will become a champion for one of the most important issues affecting women’s health. Your support will make a huge difference in the lives of tens-of-thousands of women as proceeds from the PCOS Challenge race will go toward PCOS research, health screenings, grants, education and support programs, as well as increasing awareness and public support for those with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Your support will help improve health outcomes, health management and quality of care for women and girls with PCOS.
