VISTA Gardens relies on our extensive compost operation to provide our beds with vital nutrients to aid in our organic growing practices. That means we need folks to be willing to get STINKY (and possibly FILTHY) turning our compost bins on a regular basis. This entails using pitchforks to flip compost from one geobin to the next, as the organic matter breaks down. We call our regular composters the Compost Fit team, but the rain and heat means we need extra hands on deck. It's tough work, and your help would be so appreciated. It's definitely an eye-opening way to spend a Saturday morning. For those slighty fainter of heart, sifting compost is needed, also! Will you join us?
