Are you an outgoing and friendly person? Do you enjoy welcoming visitors from the local area, from around the country, and even from around the world?

If so, then you would be a great fit as an admissions assistant on our volunteer team at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. Please see below for details on the volunteer position:

Admissions volunteers assist with admitting guests, selling admissions tickets, providing visitors with information on our site and our exhibits, promoting membership sales, answering visitor questions about the Butterfly House, Faust Park, and the local area. This position requires computer use and cash handling experience, and will have thorough training provided. Minimum age requirement is 15. This position requires a lot of training, therefore we ask for interest only from volunteers who are seeking a long-term volunteer opportunity.

Volunteer Shifts:

Mornings- 10:00am-1:00pm

Afternoons- 1:00pm-4:00pm

Admissions volunteers are also occasionally called upon to help with running the admissions desk during evening special events.
