Fundraising Coordinator Internship:
From Me 2 U Inc. believes in supporting aspiring professionals and offers several internship opportunities that allow college students who are interested in starting a business, establishing their portfolio or simply just want to give back the chance to explore, enhance, and share their talents with youth.
Develop fundraisers, establish fundraising system for Ensuring that all available opportunities for raising funds for From Me 2 U, Inc. (FM2U). Students may also engage in proposal writing. This is an extensive list of tasks, however, students are permitted to engage in those areas of interest to them.
Coordinates fundraising strategies and is responsible for supporting major fundraising programs. Assists in the development of fundraising goals and soliciting funds. Helps to identify new potential donors and organizes initiatives to solicit funding. May assist in developing major gift opportunities and writing grant proposals.
Principal Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement a fundraising plan for the organization which will achieve the goals for sustainable funding, the development of projects, and delivery of core operations;
- To work in partnership with the Executive Director and other members of staff to achieve the organization’s aims and ensure stability and longevity is in place for FM2U and its members;
- To acquire and develop a strong fundraising portfolio together with other members of FM2U staff, stakeholders and relevant contacts;
- To identify and develop suitable fundraising opportunities, new projects and funds;
- To cultivate and nurture successful and productive relationships with current and potential corporate/foundation sponsors and individual donors;
- To accurately monitor fundraising progress and produce quality reports for internal and external parties when required;
- To write compelling grant proposals and bids to corporate, foundation and government funders;
- To expand the FM2U network through the development of new and beneficial relationships;
- To contribute to FM2U promotional articles and publications to raise awareness of the work and the organization’s aims;
- To contribute to the FM2U communication strategy (in relation to fundraising) as required;
- To represent and be the 'face’ of FM2U to the corporate world;
- To attend and participate in necessary meetings.

Description
From Me 2 U, Inc. (FM2U) was incorporated in the State of Ohio as a 501 3 (c) nonprofit entity in September of 2014 and succeeded from a social enterprise business, V.O.I.C.E. Consulting. FM2U began in the Glenville community, just south of the bridge that borders Bratenahl and Cleveland. The organization remained in the Glenville community until July 2017, moving to Cleveland’s Shaker Square neighborhood in August 2017. Shake Square is located on the South-East side of Cleveland and is comprised of two regions Buckeye and Shaker Square representing one of the earliest planned shopping areas in Cleveland, Ohio. The neighborhood borders by Woodland Hills, Mount Pleasant, and University Circle.
Organizational Goals
- To offer training and life coaching to opportunities for college students that will allow them hands-on experience to explore, develop, and create programs and services that will benefit society and energize their intellect.
- To offer weekend out of school time activities for youth that expands and enhances academic concepts covered in the classroom in used hands-on project-based experiential learning activities, using a wellness model.
- To offer life coaching services for adults that will allow them to identify personal goals and set a plan in motion to identify and live their aspirations.
