Meal Planning Project

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: ShelterCare

ShelterCare needs a volunteer with nutrition and meal-planning knowledge to help us set up a meal plan for our consumers at the Uhlhorn Day Services Program. We want the best nutrition and varied meals for our program participants! The Uhlhorn program will be serving meals made by our Shankle Program to participants with physical and/or developmental disabilities in our community. And you can be a vital part of that process! Come help us provide this worthwhile service!

This is a short-term project that would include making three or four separate meal plans that each span a month. Each day requires two meals, one for lunch and one for dinner, for 5 days a week. This would allow us to cycle them around and use the established plans for each quarter of the year.

This would be a great project for someone with professional experience in meal planning and nutrition or for students in a nutrition program wanting to exercise their knowledge. The work location for this project is flexible and could be done remotely if needed.

Applicants must pass a DHS background check and have either professional meal-planning experience or be enrolled in a food/nutrition program at a college/university.
