The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims was designated by Congress to honor and remember homicide victims and the devastating impact their tragic deaths had on families, friends, and communities. Numerous gorups and communities across the country gather together to pay tribute to victims whose lives were taken, support their surviving family members, share stories and memories and provide comfort to those who lost a loved one.
JHV and JFMC's 3rd annual NDOR CommUNITY 5K Walk/Run invites families, friends, neighbors, community members and all wanting to support survivors of murdered loved ones, to participate in a day promoting peace and unity. Special events following the 5K Run/Walk will honor homicide victims and will include food, music, vendors, a silent auction and more!
We need a few volunteers to kick off the race with a pre-race yoga, stretch, or other warm up to get them jazzed.

Mission Statement
To be the champion of the legal rights of survivors of homicide victims by providing them information about victim rights in all aspects of the criminal justice system.
Description
Provide support and friendship to distressed persons who experienced the homicide of a family member.
Foster survivors physical and emotional health.
Provide contact with similarly bereaved family members or other persons.
Provide public awareness and education of victim rights and the abuse or noncompliance of thee rights in all areas of the criminal justice system.
Provide support of victims who fight for their rights.
