Born Free USA, a 501 (c)(3) animal protection organization, is seeking volunteers to help run a fundraising event in West Hollywood on Thursday, September 27th. The event, "A Celebration of Wildlife", is a cocktail reception and presentation for donors and their guests, hosted by actress Abigail Spencer and Entertainment Executive Mike Fisher. We need a volunteer photographer to take photos of the event for our website , social media, and magazine publication. Any published photos would be properly credited to the photographer. In return the photographer will be thanked on social media. The photographer must bring their own camera. All volunteers must be at least eighteen years old. "A Celebration of Wildlife" will take place at Joao-West Hollywood Bar at The Jeremy at 8490 West Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Suzanne Emerson at info@bornfreeusa.org by September 22. Proceeds from the event will support our Primate Sanctuary in south Texas and its approximately 500 residents, as well as our other work to secure vital protections for endangered and threatened species.

Mission Statement
Born Free USA is a national animal advocacy nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, contributions to which are tax-deductible. Our mission is to end the suffering of wild animals in captivity, rescue individual animals in need, protect wildlife -- including highly endangered species -- in their natural habitats, and encourage compassionate conservation globally.
Description
We work actively with media and use powerful tools including legislation, public education, litigation, and grassroots networking to spread the word about challenges facing wildlife.
Through our campaigns, we work to end the use of animals in entertainment, captivity of exotic animals, trapping and fur trades, and international wildlife trade.
We also run the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary in Dilley, Texas. The sanctuary provides a safe, permanent home for hundreds of nonhuman primates (macaques, baboons, and vervets), many of whom were rescued from abusive situations in research facilities, roadside zoos, or private possession.
