DESCRIPTION

The Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF), is the national non-profit patient organization dedicated to improving the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of persons with primary immunodeficiencies (PI) through advocacy, education and research. There are approximately 250,000 people who are diagnosed with PI in the U.S., and thousands more go undetected.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to help with a special video project to be used for outreach to Spanish speaking communities!

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about educating and empowering Spanish speakers to learn more about their PI diagnosis. The goal of this video is to reach more people and have an impact on how Spanish-speaking individuals are managing their health.

As a volunteer, you will be working with our Digital Media Specialist by interpreting the video guest speakers, so that the video can be edited appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Ability to translate conversations from Spanish to English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

This is an epic opportunity for someone who is interested in video production, editing, digital media, and community-based initiatives, or someone wanting to boost their CV / resume!

Time Commitment:

The ideal candidate can commit to 2-8 hours of work per week for 2-3 weeks.

Benefits:

This volunteer opportunity is a non-salaried position. We are unable to provide a stipend or financial assistance (we sincerely wish we could). However - the good news - we are able to provide you either write you a stellar letter of recommendation or be a professional reference (considering your demonstrated commitment and performance).
