Hand in Hand offers a range of immersion experiences that offers service, education, engagement and a little fun. We're looking for volunteers who will join us in working alongside residents of west Louisville on home projects that have a positive impact and will build a greater understanding of each other.
This is an overnight experience. You will stay on the upper level of the Hand in Hand office in Portland. It has been converted into dorm-like rooms with bunkbeds, multiple showers and a full kitchen. The team will be made up of volunteers from various backgrounds. Come together and create a budget as a team and shop at our local grocery for meals, in our Budget & Buy activity. No skills are needed.
The experience costs $50 per person. Includes project materials/tools, a colorful t-shirt, a heritage tour.
