Come be a part of Urban Scrawl 12!

​Urban Scrawl is a 2-day arts festival organized by the Franklinton Arts District featuring the live creation of murals at 400 West Rich by talented artists from Central Ohio and beyond. Learn more at http://www.franklintonartsdistrict.com/urban-scrawl.html

Cbus Libraries seeks volunteers to hand out free books and information about our nonprofit organization. Together with Moby, our mobile little free library, you'll bring smiles to all at the festival. We'll provide everything you need for a great day.

We request volunteers with:

  • A passion for reading, books, literacy or libraries
  • Availability for at least 3 hours
Shifts:

Saturday 8/25
  • 12pm-3pm (2 of 2 filled)
  • 3pm-6pm (2 of 2 filled)
Sunday 8/26
  • 12pm-3pm (2 of 2 filled)
  • 3pm-6pm (2 of 2 filled)

We will provide:
  • High quality books
  • Marketing materials for Cbus Libraries, including quick talking points for the organization
  • An engaging mobile little library that attracts crowds with LEDs

Cbus Libraries champions Central Ohio libraries, library enthusiasts and the love of reading.

Description

Founded in 2014 and established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2018, Cbus Libraries has successfully collaborated with United Way, grassroots community organizations and local artists to reach tens of thousands and promote the love of reading. At our core, online monthly features connect the region’s extraordinary and unique libraries with nearly ten thousand followers worldwide.

Select Programs

  • Libraries Everywhere surprises and delights citizens at events and locations throughout Central Ohio. Permanent little free libraries are placed in areas of need and elevate the neighborhood’s rich cultural heritage. Moby, our mobile little library, captivates guests at special events and festivals. Art and library installations bring wonder and excitement to children and adults alike. And school literacy initiatives are enhanced through our partnerships.
  • #CbusIsLit promotes events in Central Ohio and will expand to include the celebration of literary creators through dynamic murals.
