Volunteers are needed in each of our chapters to support the on-boarding and engagement of new disaster workers. Disaster Workforce volunteers will welcome new Disaster Cycle Services assigned volunteers and ensure they are interviewed and then appropriately on-boarded and provided with a job induction session, that they are engaged in chapter activities and that they receive regular communications of available disaster opportunities.
Additional position tasks may include but are not limited to organizing new volunteer orientations, conducting placement interviews, training program coordination (scheduling courses, securing disaster instructions, classroom setup, etc...), facilitating coaching and career development conversations, planning/hosting of volunteer recognition activities, etc.
Volunteers with HR, staffing, career counseling/mentoring, teaching, life coaching, or, management backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this opportunity!
