Oakland Creek to Bay Day is part of California and International Coastal Cleanup day, the largest volunteer day in California and the world. On this day, thousands of volunteers remove litter from waterways and shorelines across California, the nation, and in about 100 participating countries.

Keep Oakland Beautiful is sponsoring this clean up at Cesar Chavez Park. We will have teams of volunteers helping with the following:

• Park Patrol: Picking up litter throughout the park and play ground area, and cleaning up graffiti from sidewalks.
• Fence Menders: Painting over graffiti on fences and walls.
• Easy Weeders: Pulling weeds from creek banks and easy areas in park.
• Litter Eliminators: Substantial trash clean up in creek beds and other areas.

This will be a fun and meaningful clean up, and is a great way to give back to Oakland and help keep our city clean green and beautiful!
