Are you wanting to help but can't commit to a schedule? Would you like to volunteer at your own pace? This opportunity is for you!!! We have a number of short term and one time assignments in Cuyahoga, Lake, Wayne, Medina, Summit and Stark Counties.
We are seeking volunteer sitters to provide companionship when loved ones and family members can't be there.
Requirements: Pass a simple background check, drug screening and fingerprinting at our expense. Successfully complete a volunteer orientation program.

Description
The philosophy at Brookdale Hospice is that life is much more than physical health; it also includes the health of the human spirit. When physical health begins to fail, the nurturing of the spirit becomes critical for maintaining the dignity of the individual.
Volunteers are an important part of our hospice team, filling roles that include direct contact with patients and clerical support. Medicare requires the utilization of volunteers alongside paid clinical and administrative staff. Hospice volunteers describe their work as gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful. We value our volunteers greatly.
