Join us for our Wildlife Tracking Program training!
The first training date is on October 6 at the Ladera Linda Community Center.
Dedicated volunteers are needed to monitor wild foxes and coyotes in the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. No experience required and all training provided.
Volunteers will conduct weekly surveys (weather permitting) November through March
- 4 days of training are required and will be conducted on: Saturday October 6, 13, 20, and 27th
- A five-month commitment is required for an assigned preserve area
Tasks will include:
* walk a selected section of trail in the preserve
* note and submit observations: scat and paw prints
* Minimum age 16

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."
Description
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
