Project HEAL is seeking a warm and friendly volunteer to join our national Treatment Access Program (TAP) as our Grant Coordinator. The Grant Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the smooth delivery of Project HEAL’s two grant programs: the treatment access grant and the UCSD IFT grant. Candidates must have a passion for Project HEAL’s mission, a comprehensive understanding of eating disorders, and strong organization skills. The TAP grant coordinator will be expected to work alongside other TAP volunteers and staff, maintaining solid communication, especially when completing cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):
- Review grant applications and compile applicant files
- Manage applicant spreadsheets
- Active communication with applicants and in some cases treatment centers (may assist with coordinating travel for grant recipients)
- Draft and file HIPAA ROI consent forms for grant recipients
Qualifications:
- A passion for Project HEAL’s mission and values
- Must be able to commit to 4-6 hours per week (for at least 1-year)
- Familiarity with Google services (e.g. Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc)
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work remotely
- Prior experience drafting HIPAA ROI consent forms preferred but not required
- Comprehensive understanding of eating disorders
- Highly organized
- Ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.
Description
Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.
We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
