Project HEAL is seeking a creative and tech-savvy volunteer to join our national Treatment Access Program (TAP) as our Marketing/IT volunteer. Candidates must have experience managing a Facebook group, a passion for Project HEAL’s mission, and a comprehensive understanding of eating disorders. The marketing/IT volunteer will be expected to work alongside other TAP volunteers and staff, maintaining solid communication, especially when completing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):

  • Promote members of the HEALers Circle (e.g. creating short video interviews/sharing on social media)
  • Generate and upload posts on the HEALers Circle Facebook page 2-3 times/week
  • Assist with HEALers Circle member cultivation, retention, and promotion
  • Draft and file HIPAA ROI consent forms for grant recipients

Qualifications:

  • A passion for Project HEAL’s mission and values
  • Must be able to commit to 4-6 hours per week (for at least 1-year)
  • Familiarity with managing Facebook group(s) or page(s)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work remotely
  • Prior experience drafting HIPAA ROI consent forms preferred but not required
  • Comprehensive understanding of eating disorders
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willing
  • 1-2 years of social media content creation/management experience (preferred but not necessarily required)

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.

Description

Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.

We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
